We discovered this while making the cashew cookies yesterday, with the kids snitching batter left and right.
When processing your soaked and dehydrated nuts into nut butter, add 2 or 3 raw eggs yolks. Then let them chow down. The egg yolks to not change the taste or texture. You definitely only want to do this if they will be eating it right away though. And I would only do it using eggs from a trusted source - preferably pastured, organic, free-range eggs.
My kids like nut butter on a spoon for a snack or spread on bread/pancakes.
